A BIT ABOUT ME
Outside of my work as a florist, I find inspiration in a range of creative pursuits that inform and enrich my designs. I have a deep appreciation for antique markets, where I enjoy sourcing unique vessels and objects that carry a sense of history and charm. These pieces often influence the tone and texture of my floral arrangements. Travel also plays a key role in my creative process, I love exploring new places, observing regional styles, and drawing inspiration from local landscapes, architecture, and traditions. I take a keen interest in color theory, continually studying how different palettes evoke specific moods and atmospheres. Additionally, I have a deep love for music, from the sounds of 1920s Jazz to1960s Rock and Roll. These musical genres often provide a creative backdrop to my work. These passions allow me to approach floristry with a thoughtful, artistic perspective, always aiming to create designs that are both evocative and memorable.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
L2 Floral Design City and Guilds.
Since September, I have been pursuing a Level 2 Floral Design course at Kingston Maurward College, where I have gained both theoretical and practical skills in floristry. In addition to my studies, I’ve completed several hours of hands-on work experience in local florist shops, further honing my craft and learning the ins and outs of the floral industry. Over the course of my journey, I’ve also had the opportunity to create and sell my own designs, refining my ability to work with various floral arrangements and customer preferences. A particularly meaningful experience for me was designing the floral arrangements for my grandmother’s funeral, marking my first experience with funeral floristry. This personal project not only strengthened my technical abilities but also deepened my understanding of the emotional significance that flowers hold during life’s most poignant moments.

PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK
I have a deep love for wedding floristry because I understand how stressful it can be to organize such an important event. Weddings are filled with emotion, excitement, and sometimes a little bit of pressure, and I truly enjoy being a part of that process. I find great satisfaction in helping couples bring their floral vision to life, and I take pride in creating designs that reflect their unique love story. I also appreciate the trust my clients place in me, knowing that I can handle their floral needs with care, attention to detail, and professionalism, ensuring that one of the most important elements of their big day is flawless.
