A BIT ABOUT ME

I love gardening, sewing, painting and generally being creative. I also like to walk, particularly by the sea and watch the sun rise. I have a beautiful, 11 year old rescue cat called Blossom who keeps me sane!

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

After a 30 year career in the legal profession, I retrained as a florist in 2023 via the City & Guilds course at Bicton College. Since then I have joined the Sustainable Floristry Network and work using natural mechanics and mediums. I am also a member of the Farewell Flowers Directory.

Very much a people person, I started a market stall in August 2024 selling fresh and dried flowers and went on to open my own shop in December 2024 providing floristry services and also selling artisan crafts and gifts made by myself and other local and UK makers. I enjoy teaching others to make and run regular workshops.

PREFERRED TYPE OF FLORISTRY WORK

Funeral flowers are my great passion and I also love working with dried flowers, particularly for weddings. My favourite thing to make is a wreath and I love woodland style and natural floristry design.
