JOB ROLE
We are seeking a confident florist, with a great eye and attention to detail, who is excited by the prospect of working with British farm-grown flowers.
The role demands a strong skill set and experience in all aspects of floristry from event to retail and some horticultural experience. The ideal candidate will be motivated and ambitious who takes initiative and works independently without needing supervision. Customer service is paramount and all forms of retail communication (phone, email and customer-facing) must be excellent. We have a 2-day position available and a 3, 4 or 5 day position available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• You will have experience in creating arrangements for events such as weddings and funerals. Ideally you will be able to drive, set up and manage all the logistics for the events you are working on.
• Creating bouquets in the loose, gardeny signature style of the TRFC. Bunching flowers, conditioning flowers, cleaning vessels.
• Greeting customers with a friendly, polite manner.
• You may be responsible for opening and closing the shop - keeping it clean and visually appealing throughout the day.
• Restocking floral displays and gifts as well as maintaining plants. Installing window displays.
• Previous floristry experience is essential. Ideally two years' experience, Level 2 Technical Certificate in Floristry (C&G) or similar.
• Good written English, computer literate.
RATE OF PAY/SALARY
To be agreed. Based on experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We are family-owned, sustainable flower farmers and florists with two London stores. We sell our own (British) grown flowers and foliage throughout the growing season, specialising in scented bouquets. Our farms are located in Hampshire and West Sussex. All TRFC produce conforms to the LEAF standard.
